Obedience

Clark loves obedience. He loves to heel just like his mom Scout. He is a blast to train. He loves a challenge, loves to think and is very thoughtful about everything he does. He tries so hard and really wants to please.
We made our rally obedience debut on August 2nd & 3rd, 2008 at the Canfield, Ohio shows. He qualified both days with first places both days. The next time I showed him in Rally Novice was February 14, 2009 where he earned his title with another first placement. At the 2009 IWSCA national specialty, Clark competed in rally all 3 days it was offered and he earned his rally advanced title on May 7th, 2009. He took 2nd place every day in the class.
Clark earned his first novice B obedience leg at the IWSCA supported show at the Maryland Sporting Dog show on February 28, 2009. He earned 1st place with a score of 194. He earned his second leg on March 28, 2009 with a score of 191.5 and a 3rd placement. He earned his novice obedience title (CD) at the IWS national specialty on May 7th and earned 1st place in his class.
Clark made his debut in open obedience on April 3, 2010. I didn't know exactly what to expect but I thought we would have fun. And fun we had! Clark earned his first CDX leg on his very first try with a score of 185. We didn't qualify on the second day but we still had a lot of fun. We just need to work on those stays!
Clark earned his first Rally Excellent leg at the 2010 IWS national specialty. He won 1st place and I was so proud of him as it was very hot and he still tried to give his best. He is such a willing and good boy!
