Ryan - earning his novice obedience (CD) title on August 24, 2014

I have been doing foundation obedience training with Ryan since I brought him home at 8 weeks old.  He is very smart and he picks up things very quickly.  Even though I have been training Ryan since he was a baby, I'm taking my time in getting him into the obedience ring.  Ryan has a real joy for obedience and he has brought a lot of fun back in it for me.  He is a little bit of a wild man and thinks he should do everything with great enthusiasm.  He always makes me laugh.  He has a lot of natural talent so I'm taking my time.  We made our debut in the rally ring on at the Maryland Sporting Dog Association shows on March 1, 2013.  He qualified his first time showing and got a score of 90 out of 100 points.  The next time I showed him was at the 2013 IWSCA national specialty.  He qualified again for his 2nd RN leg with a score of 94 and 4th place. We also tried beginner novice with Ryan at the 2013 specialty.  He did really well and almost qualified except that he laid down with about 10 seconds left on his sit stay.  But not bad at all for a dog I haven't focused on as much on in obedience.  He is a true joy.  Ryan showed on July 13, 2013 in Woodstock, VA and earned his 3rd leg to complete his rally novice title.  He earned 2nd place with a score of 95.  Ryan made his debut in novice obedience on June 8, 2014.  He was a little confused as to what exactly we were doing in the ring but he tried really hard and had great stays and qualified for his first novice obedience leg.  He earned his second novice obedience leg on July 13, 2014. Ryan finished his novice obedience title on Sunday, August 24, 2014.  It was his best performance to date and his heeling off leash was much more focused.  He is a lot of fun to show.

Ryan earned his first rally advanced leg at the 2015 IWSCA specialty where he earned 2nd place in the class.
