Obedience
Scout earning her first utility leg at the IWS National Specialty with a 1st place too! May 2007 Scout loves obedience and loves to learn. She is very intelligent and a very honest worker. She puts her heart into everything she does. She earned her Novice Obedience Title (CD) in three straight shows at the Cleveland Crown Classic in December 2003. Her average score was 190.5. This was a four day show and she qualified every day. Her highest score of the weekend was 195 and she was 2 1/2 years old. Scout earned her Open Obedience Title (CDX) at the end of 2004 at the age of 3 1/2 years old with an average score of 190. She is my first ever CDX dog and I'm very proud of her. Most recently, Scout earned her UD (utility dog) title. We made our debut at the Lorain County Kennel Club show in Cleveland, Ohio on December 14, 2006. While we didn't qualify, we had a blast in the ring and Scout did great. Our second time in the utility ring was at the 2007 IWS National Specialty. Scout did fantastic and she got very few points deducted for most of her exercises including her signal, gloves, articles, and moving stand. Her go-outs (directed jumping) is where we lost most of our points but it was still a solid exercise. It was thrilling and we got first place. We earned her second utility leg at the Rock Creek Kennel Club show on July 1, 2007. Again, we got first place. We earned our 3rd utility leg on Thursday, August 2, 2007 at the shows in Canfield, Ohio. It was her best performance yet and we had a lot of fun in the ring. She also earned first place in the class. I couldn't have asked for a better partner to get my first UD title with. Scout always gives it her all. She is a very willing dog and she loves to train. She couldn't understand my tears of joy when we got that 3rd leg but she got a big steak for dinner. We will continue to train in obedience and we will try competing in combined. Scout won 1st place in veterans obedience on the first day of supported shows at the 2009 national specialty. She really loves to heel. Scout also earned an ADPT Rally Level 1 title in one weekend with an average score of 197. She earned her AKC Rally Novice title (RN) in three straight shows completing the title on August 5, 2006. She also earned her Rally Advanced (RA) title on August 2, 2007. She earned her Rally Excellent title on February 14, 2009. |
